"A TRUE LONDONER" is a book about real people in which Danny Anthony tells the story of his life from early childhood in pre-war Camden to Mayfair in 1993.
Danny Anthony is a remarkable man who gives us a vivid and entertaining insight into poverty and wealth, success and failure. He has embraced a variety of jobs and in the course of his life rubbed shoulders with many people whose names form part of our recent history.
Throughout, he displays a fierce loyalty to his family, past and present reminding us that it is not where we live that matters, but how we live.
The first edition published in 2003 was a limited 200 copy run by the the residents of Dundee Court in Wapping ...done in secret for Danny as a surprise! The copies were soon gone and after numerous requests, the book has been updated and republished as a second edition.
